Sparklight Films, a San Francisco Bay Area entertainment production company founded by Heather Haggarty and Nanou Matteson, champions and produces award-winning female-driven projects, including East Side Sushi, winner of 13 Audience/Best Narrative/Best Screenplay/Jury Awards in 2014-15 and distributed by Samuel Goldwyn and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2015; Carrie Pilby, starring Bel Powley, Gabriel Byrne and Nathan Lane, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016 and distributed by The Orchard in 2017; and most recently, Remember Me , starring Academy Award® winner Rita Moreno, also distributed by The Orchard in 2017.  Sparklight focuses on films that are female-driven both in front of and behind the camera, and strives to bring stories to the screen that engage, inspire and illuminate.
